UV Dynamics UVD240 – 8 GPM UV Water Disinfection System

The UV Dynamics UVD240 is a compact ultraviolet water disinfection system designed for residential homes, cottages, cabins, and other lower-flow applications. Using ultraviolet (UV) light, the UVD240 helps inactivate microorganisms in water without adding chemicals or changing the taste or odour of the water.

The UVD240 provides a 30 mJ/cm² UV dose at up to 8 GPM (30 L/min) and a 40 mJ/cm² UV dose at 6 GPM (23 L/min). Its compact stainless-steel reactor and 3/4" connections make it an excellent choice for point-of-entry residential water treatment systems.

How UV Disinfection Works

UV treatment exposes water to ultraviolet light as it passes through the stainless-steel reactor. The UV energy helps inactivate microorganisms in the water without adding chemicals.

For best results, UV systems should be installed after appropriate sediment and water filtration. Excessive sediment, turbidity, iron, manganese, or other water-quality issues can interfere with UV performance and may require additional treatment before the UV system.

Important Information

UV treatment is a disinfection process and does not remove sediment, hardness, iron, manganese, chemicals, or dissolved solids.

Proper pre-filtration and water treatment should be used when required by the source-water quality. For private well applications, water should be tested regularly to determine the appropriate treatment requirements.
